The Zahmet-Turkmengala machine channel is a complex hydraulic engineering installation that provides lifting of water by tens of meters over the water level of the Karakum channel for irrigation purposes. The total length of the channel is 50 kilometers; irrigated area is 45 000 hectares.
Under the project the HMS Group manufactured and supplied 50 pumping units of the D12500-24М2 series with total rated power of 40 MW and total capacity over 515 000 cubic meter/hour. The pumping units have been designed and manufactured first for analogous project in Turkmenistan and successfully operated within over three years.
